For some reason, I have decided to add external comments from HaloScan. The main reason I like HaloScan’s comments is because they allow people without Blogger accounts to give their names when posting, rather than forcing them to call themselves ‘Anonymous’. Other than that, I think I slightly prefer the way that Blogger’s comments work. But if people ever start reading and commenting on this thing (the fools!) then they aren’t all going to have Blogger accounts, and I doubt they’ll all remember to leave their names at the bottom of posts.
I might still have a use for Blogger’s comments though, by turning them into a ‘follow-ups’ thing or something. Hmmm…
Having fiddled around with the CSS for my Haloscan comments, I think I’ve now got them into a state where they’re reasonably consistent with the look of the rest of the blog. I’ve now made Blogger’s comments author-only, and re-labelled them accordingly.
How’d you change the CSS on the HaloScan comments, Axel?
Go to the Haloscan page and click ‘Template Gallery’ in the bar at the side. Then click ‘Edit CSS template’, near the top of the page.
Thanks.
Though seeing how simple it is, I really should’ve figured that out for myself, shouldn’t I :)
