I have returned from Norfolk (actually, I returned at about 5.00pm on Friday, but I only just got around to writing about it). Norwich would appear to be a pleasant city. Wandering around it slightly drunk in the early hours of the morning is an activity I would happily recommend to anyone (although the company probably helped there).
Having just returned from Norfolk, I then went last night to Chipping Norton to see The Demon Barber Roadshow, an act from, err, Norfolk. They were very good, but the production and mixing wasn’t very well done. The drums were a little too high in the mix, and the melodion a little too low (cue jokes about not being able to hear melodions being a good thing), and the vocals were not very clear. Still, the band were good enough that it was enjoyable anyway. The set also featured, at various points, dancing from Black Swan Rapper (of which two of the band are members), Dogrose Morris, and a couple of step-dancers. An excellent evening’s entertainment.
