Off home in a few hours. Playing gigs with Jessica on Saturday and Sunday evenings. Hopefully I’ll also be able to get to the pub on Saturday evening to meet up with my friends who weren’t able to get here for my birthday last weekend.
The gig on Saturday should be fairly undemanding; we’re just providing some background music for a party, but the Sunday gig is quite scary. We’re supporting Giles, Metcalfe and Woods and John Spiers and Jon Boden at a fundraiser for next year’s Oxford Folk Festival. This is quite an honour, so I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t quite nervous about it. Still, we’re only playing a short (15-20 min) slot, so we should be okay.
