Not, of course, the death of any actual people, but rather of the PSU on my computer. It’s been on the way out for a while (the bearings on the fan are knackered, so that it would occasionally start making an infuriating rattling sound that would go on for a few hours before it sorted itself out), but now it has finally croaked altogether. Which renders my ‘puter completely unusable until the replacement arrives on Thursday.
I have taken the opportunity to get a new case along with the new PSU. One with enough bays for two hard disks so that I don’t have one of them just sitting on the bottom of the case any more.
In other news, Christmas and New Year and such. Christmas was good, but with nothing terribly exciting to relate here. New year was a success. The all-new, online implementation of Clocktails was a success, with a surprisingly large proportion of its suggestions being not only drinkable, but pleasant.
In less positive news, I no longer have a job. After five months, my two-month-long temporary job has concluded. So now I have to start looking properly for a new one. I’ve applied for one job but haven’t heard back yet.
Thought perhaps you might be needing this :)

Marvellous! Thanks, Frank.
