Hi. Thanks for your kind comments. I’m delighted to discover that my army is serving as inspiration to other gamers. I have to admit I haven’t been doing very much painting at all for a while; other interests have taken priority recently. I’d like to get this army over 10,000 points eventually, but it may be a while before that happens.

Also glad to hear that you’re still keeping Epic going in your part of the world. I’d agree it’s probably GW’s best game. It’s a real shame it never got the support it deserved.

And as a matter of fact 1 of the only 2 Eldar armies i use as inspiration to paint my own Epic army the coming weeks.
The other army is only the colour-inspiration, this army though is the quality i would like to get or approach.

I’ve got most Epic armies (Orks, Space Marines, Chaos, Squats, Eldar) and this year is the year i want to finish all my Epic armies toward the full 10.000+ points.
Just finished my Epic squats yesterday and today i started on my Eldar.
And Epic is not dead yet here… ;-)

I live in the south of the Netherlands (play since about 20 years) and i am happy that i was able to re-introduce epic here among my direct friends (by giving them starter armies :-) as well as a larger group around us and we now have around 5 active players and a group of less active players.
Epic is, IMO, still probably the best GW game there is.

Those are really good, Al! Epic seems to have largely died out down here – my fault mostly, I’ve been so busy playing other things I’ve not gotten around to grabbing the new fella for a game yet!

One of us will clearly have to lug an army to the other some time soon for a game. I’m ashamed to say my guard are in roughly the same state of paintedness as when you left, but we don’t really have enough space at home for proper painting so I’ve done very little.

Actually, I don’t have anyone around to play Epic with at the moment. I don’t have many people around to play anything much, in fact. I’ve been considering going along to the GW club in Oxford and trying to convert some of them over to playing Epic; that should be easier now I’ve got two armies. Or maybe my brother will manage to find enough money to put an army together.

Had to resend this, sorry if it appears twice. The army looks beautiful, though, and I really am envious that you’ve got people around you with whom you can play Epic. No one here is really interested, though I am lucky that there are Battletech and Infinity players around at least.
