My new digital camera arrived today. With the money I got for my birthday from my parents and grandparents, I bought myself a Kodak Cx7530, and am so far very pleased with it. It takes good,clear pictures quickly and easily, which is all I really want it to do.

I took this photo with it out in the park this afternoon, which turned out quite nicely. I was particularly pleased with the camera’s close-up mode, with which I took this pic. I’ve resized both images from 2560x1920px to 1152×864. Otherwise they’re exactly as they came out of the camera.

One reservation I had about going for this camera is that it doesn’t use USB mass storage to transfer the images to computer. However, PTP, which it uses instead, is a fairly standard protocol, and I’m pleased to say that importing images from it is no problem under Windows or Linux.
