Painting

So I finally got around to painting something again last week. After getting the Elf Blood Bowl (or rather ‘Gridiron’, Blood Bowl being a ®) team from Shadowforge, I got to painting them at a pretty good rate — painting a model most days — and had got most of them finished when I stopped. The combination of having much less free time on account of getting a job and just being burned out from having painted a lot led to my stopping painting anything for a couple of months, with four of the elves left unpainted.

But last week I finally got around to painting up the fourth of my elf catchers. I now have only three line-elves left to paint before my elves are complete. Whereupon hopefully I will post some pictures, but my camera has been playing up lately, so I can’t promise anything.

However, that will not be an opportunity to sit back and stop painting again, as I now have Shadowforge’s ‘Wicked Elf’ team. I also ordered a few models from Spyglass Miniatures last week. I got these just because they’re nice models rather than for any particular gaming purpose, and in fact they are very nice models indeed. Gorgeous sculpts and beautifully cast, too. Virtually no flash at all and you have to look carefully to even find the mould lines. I’ve painted one so far which has come out pretty nicely, I think.

On an unrelated note, Questionable Content readers will probably have already seen this, but for everyone else: Tragedy: the all metal tribute to the Bee Gees.
